3rd Grade Concert Lyrics

Here are the 3rd grade concert songs and a video with all of the songs to sing along with!

*All songs from the musical "Aladdin Jr." are on this video, so I will put the time that each songs starts next to the title.  The songs are not exactly like ours, since we will be singing the "kids" version.

Solo 1:
Salaam and good evening to you, worthy friend!  Welcome to Agrabah, city of mystery -
Solo 2:
Land of enchantment -
Solo 3:
-an oasis of rest and wonder for those in search of something…
1, 2, & 3:
… Magical.

Arabian Nights 0:00
Oh, I come from a land, from a faraway place
Where the caravan camels roam
Where it's flat and immense
And the heat is intense
It's furnace, but hey, it's home

When the wind's from the east and the sun's from the west
And the sand in the glass is right
Come on down stop on by
Hop a carpet and fly
To another Arabian night

Arabian nights, like Arabian days
More often than not
Are hotter than hot
In a lot of good ways

Arabian nights, with Arabian dreams,
Where what you will see
May not in fact be
The thing that it seems.

1: yes, my friends, welcome to Agrabah, land of eternal bliss, magical mysteries - And home of the hottest half-price bargains this side of the river Nile!

Solo 4:
Look beneath the bust, and you will discover that this lamp once changed a young man’s life…

Solo 5:
… as well as the life of a beautiful, young princess who was being forced to marry against her will.

One Jump 6:03
Solo 6:
Stop theif!

6: Thief! Thief! Stop him!

Solo 7:
Morning, ma’am

Solo 8:
In trouble again, Aladdin?

7: Me? No way, it’s only trouble if you get caught. You gotta stay -

One jump ahead of the bread line
one swing ahead of the sword
I steal only what i can't afford

7: That's everything!

One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke

Riffraff! Street rat! Scoundrel! Take that!

7: Just a little snack, guys

Rip him open, take it back, guys

7: I can take a hint, gotta face the facts
What’s a guy like me to do?

Solo 9:
There is he boss!

Solo 10:
The diamond in the rough!

Solo 11:
Jasmine has run away!  Hurry, we must find her before something terrible happens!

10: Gaurds, that street rat has kidnapped the princess!  Bring him to me, alive!

Solo 12:
Yes, Jafar!

9: Oh, you’re good - and by good I mean bad.
10: Ain’t it the truth?
Girls: Oh it's sad Aladdin's hit the bottom
He's become a one-man rise in crime

Solo 13:
I'd blame parents except he hasn't got 'em

7: Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Tell you all about it when I got the time!

7: Hi.
Solo 14:
Hi.
7: I’m Aladdin.
14: I’m - uhm… Pashmina.  I’m running away from those creepy guards.
7:  Hey!  Me too!
14: Where can we hide?
7: Follow me, I have a plan.

Stop thief!  Vandal!  Outrage!  Scandal!

7: Let’s not be too hasty..

Girls:
Still I think he’s rather tasty…

7: Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Otherwise we'd get along

Wrong!
One jump ahead of the hoof beats
(Vandal!)
One hop ahead of the hump
(Street rat!)
One trick ahead of disaster
(Scoundrel!)
They're quick, but I'm much faster
(Take that!)

7: Here goes
14: Better throw my hand in,
7 & 14: Hope it’s happy landin',
All I gotta do is -

7: Do you trust me?
14: Yes!

All you gotta do is…
Jump!

Thief!

Friend Like Me 13:38
Solo 15:
Master, read this owner’s manual while I blow the roof off this joint!  Maestro, give me four for nothing!

Well, Ali Baba had them forty thieves,
Scheherazade had a thousand tales.
But master you're in luck, 'cause up your sleeves
You've got a brand of magic never fails

You've got some power in your corner now!
Some heavy ammunition in your camp!

15: You got some punch, pizzaz, yahoo and how.
See, all you gotta do is rub that lamp, and I'll say:

"Mr. Aladdin, sir, what will your pleasure be?
Let me take your order, jot it down?"
You ain't never had friend like me

15: Life is your restaurant and I'm your maitre'd

Come on whisper what it is you want;
You ain't never had friend like me!

Yes sir, we pride ourselves on service.
You're the boss, the king, the shah.
Say what you wish; it's yours, true dish.
How 'bout a little more baklava?

Have some of column A try All of column B,
I'm in the mood to help you, dude.
You ain't never had friend like me

Wa-ah-ah (Oh my)
Wa-ah-ah (No no)
Wa-ah-ah (Na na na)

15: Lah bah dah bah doo bah!

Can your friends do this?
Can your friends do that?
Can your friends pull this
Out their little hat?

Mr. Aladdin, sir, have a wish or two or three.
I'm on the job you big nabob!

You ain't never had a friend,
Never had a friend,
You ain't never had a friend,
Never had a friend,

You ain't never had a friend like me.
Like me!
Like me!
You ain't never had a friend like me.

Prince Ali 17:28
Make way for Prince Ali
Say hey! It's Prince Ali

Hey! Clear the way in the old Bazaar
Hey you!
Let us through!
It's a bright new star!
Oh Come!
Be the first on your block to meet his eye!

Make way!
Here he comes!
Ring bells! Bang the drums!

15: Are you gonna love this guy!

Prince Ali! Fabulous he!
Ali Ababwa
Genuflect, show some respect
Down on one knee!
Now, try your best to stay calm
Brush up your sunday salaam
The come and meet his spectacular coterie
Prince Ali!
Mighty is he!
Ali Ababwa
Strong as ten regular men, definitely!

Solo 16:
He faced the galloping hordes
Solo 17:
A hundred bad guys with swords
Solo 18:
Who sent those goons to their lords?

Why, Prince Ali

He's got seventy-five golden camels
Purple peacocks? He's got fifty-three
When it comes to exotic-type mammals
Has he got a zoo?
I'm telling you,
15: it's a world-class menagerie!

There’s no question this Ali’s alluring
Never ordinary, never boring,
Everything about the man just plain impresses

He’s a wonder, he’s a whiz, a winner!
Eats the competition up for dinner!
15: And I absolutely love the way he dresses!

He's got ninety-five white Persian monkeys
(He's got the monkeys, let's see the monkeys)
And to view them he charges no fee
(He's generous, so generous)
He's got slaves, he's got servants and flunkies
Proud to work for him
They bow to his whim love serving him
They're just lousy with loyalty to Ali!
Prince Ali!

Prince Ali! Amorous he! Ali Ababwa

Heard your princess was a sight lovely to see
And that, good people, is why he got dolled up and dropped by

With sixty elephants, llamas galore
With his bears and lions
A brass band and more
With his forty fakirs, his cooks, his bakers
His birds that warble on key
Make way for prince A -

10: We’ve got to get rid of him, and fast!
11: Now that’s what I call a prince!
14: Then you marry him!
11: I think she likes you.

Ali!
