SQUILT - Super Quiet Uninterrupted Listening Time
At the end of our Rondo unit, 3rd graders did a SQUILT activity where we listened to Ella Fitzgerald's version of "Sleigh Ride." We knew that Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" was in Rondo form, but we wanted to find out if Ella's version was in Rondo form as well.
Students then wrote their thoughts down on our worksheet. Once everyone's paper was turned in, we tried our "Sleigh Ride" body percussion with Ella's version, and discovered if it was in Rondo or not.
