Trepak

First graders are learning how to follow listening maps! Our first map helped 1st graders to listen to and follow along with "Trepak" from The Nutcracker.

K5 Students also were listening to "Trepak" and they saw a video of young dancers performing the piece.

Then, they did their own performance of the piece with scarves.  We pretended we were throwing paint, then stirring the paint during the A section of the piece. During the B section we pretended that we were painting the walls.
