Recorder Karate White Belt

Recorder Karate is in full swing at Stormonth!  4th graders have earned their first belt, the white belt, by playing "Hot Cross Buns" proficiently.  To earn their belt, students play for me in small groups, and if they play the piece correctly they earn their belt (a rainbow loom band on their recorder) and they get to put a clip with their name on it on the display outside the music classroom!  If a student needs more work on the piece, they can come and have a five minute "private lesson" with me at the beginning or end of the school day to earn their belt.  It's a win-win!
